We have a live Instructor, who has provided the course contents for you to learn in your self-study at your own class at home, in accordance with your schedule and live Instructor availability.

Formerly called a Correspondence Course, we now call ourselves a, "Live Extended to Home Study with Instructor Course."
A Correspondence Course is one where an applicant purchases all materials needed for self-study.
Our, "Live-Extended," Course, on the other hand, has an Instructror's input in the 100 questions in the course exam, and is available daily to each student within the student's schedule. The Instructor may discuss the questions, course material, CONCEPTS, LAWS, RULES AND CLARIFY ANY AND ALL MATTERS FOR THE STUDENT.
The "live, in one class room, fixed time", concept, is inconvient, and still requires considerable home study since a live lecture permits no time to take notes.
It is well know that when a student takes a note, or underlines a passage in the text, attention is diverted from the instructor, and the spoken words of the lecturer are lost.
Consequently, a notetaking student misses 1/2 of a class lecture or instruction, while a non-notetaking student may hear the entire talk but is hard pressed to learn, understand, and retain 10% of the Instructor's presentation.
Home self-study determines whether the student learns enough to pass the   State exam.
Accordingly, we do not classify our, "Live-Extended",  course with live Instructor as a correspondence course requiring CAM Council handicapped permission.
While the statute purports forcing the student to attend a "live" class if living within a two hour drive is unfair. unrealistic, probably unintended and probably unconstutional, because of lack of clarity.
The Legislative intent obviously was to assure the student, at lease the city folk, got the best education.
Our CAM-Live-Extended course has proved its success in training students by
Its 98% pass ratio on the State Exam.
For all these reasons, the applicant for a CAM license should be able to attend the "live" class of his preference, whether he/she sits at home or in a classroom 70 miles away, learning from the live, licensed, Instructor of choice, where he feels he can best prepare for the State Exam and his career.
We believe the CAM Council should be of the same opinion as this school with the same interpretations of the, "live class," provision of the new rule. to assure the greatest number of CAM candidates are able to take the licensed CAM course of their choosing to prepare for their career.
